So, 31 days of Praying for your Husband is now finished… as far as blog posts go!
Did you participate?
Did you find that praying specific prayers for your husband did something to YOU?
I know I did!
When I take the time to seriously think about that which I want the Lord to help my husband, it reminds me of my own needs in that area of life… and sends me to my knees to ask for compassion and grace for myself!
Because, while I DO want the Lord to help my husband fully become the Man HE wants him to be…. I also desire to be the woman God created ME to be for my husband... and being a lady of forgiveness is just a simple step in that goal.
Because: If I find an unforgiving spirit in myself then I am telling Jesus that this fallible person has hurt me, another fallible person, more than *I* hurt HIM [Jesus] on the cross!
Now there’s a thought that drives me to repent of an unforgiving spirit!
I also realized, yet again, that praying for my man can accomplish so much more than complaining and being … contentious {It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. Proverbs 21:19; A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike. Proverbs 27:15} A contentious {quarrelsome, violent, given to debate} spirit is directly opposite of the Proverbs 31 woman whose heart I am striving to emulate.
I pray that you found a blessing in praying specifically for your husband! I know I did.
Yes to participating! AND a big yes as well to receiving something for myself as I prayed for my hubby. THANK YOU! for listening and doing as the Lord leads.
