Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Romans 14:19
8-And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9- But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 11- But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. 1 Timothy 6:8-11
There are so many verses that speak of peace, patience, living peaceably, allowing patience to develop, etc; here are just a few. It is obvious that our Lord expects peace and patience from His own.
Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Psalm 16:11
Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. Psalm 37:37
He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. Proverbs 11:12
When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7
5-Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: 6- That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5,6
5-And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6- And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7-And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8- For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:5-8
Let us pray for our husbands to be men of peace and full of patience!
