[day 6] pray for your husband: to have a teachable spirit
1-The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. 2- All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. Proverbs 15:33-34
I want my husband’s spirit to remain teachable.
Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. Proverbs 9:9
A man who is open to learning, even from subordinates, is a man who can grow and mature in godliness and wisdom.
And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. Mark 10:44
5- Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; 6- Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 7- With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 8- Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. Ephesians 6:6
As the saying goes: no woman has ever argued with a man when he’s dusting, vacuuming or washing dishes.
This is a cute and rather humorous quote, but there is truth to it.
When a man has a servant’s heart, they are showing Jesus’ love and magnify Him… and this is what we want for our man.
Let us pray for our husband’s to
have a teachable spirit
and a servant’s heart!
